    U17 Girls

Based on a historical analysis of previous years State Cup rankings, here is a best guess at 2009 SC seeds:

    1. Stars
    2. Pioneers
    3. Crusaders
    4. MPS Renegades
    5. Sachems
    6. Pittsfield
    7. Puma
    8. Napoli
    9. Fuller Hamlets
    10. SF Vikings
    11. Western United
    12. Aztecs
    13. MPS Crusaders

The top four seem pretty solid and tough to crack. Pioneers, Crusaders and Renegades all picked up players. Did any of the other teams improve enough to get through to the semi-finals?

No way Sachems get the 5 seed. They didn't make the round robin last year. They probably get the 8 seed.

Napoli lost some players and FH lost quite a few players to BW RI. Coulter took alot of his players with him. I think a couple of the Aztecs went over to MPS.

On the flip side, didn't they have a great turnout at tryouts last year and add to the team? Some of the players who left the current U17s did so because they had been playing up and were going to be moved down to age appropriate for this year (and the U16 Renegades are not nearly as competitive as the U17s).

His players? Didn't he coach a year younger?

He coached U-16s and U-14s last year. Took quite a few to his U-17 team. Don't know about the now U-14's

Not sure whether someone's trolling, but four players from MPS have not moved to Stars U17.

Where did the 4th player end up?

Will MPS be stronger this year after moving out the players who were playing up and replacing them with newcomers?

Why do you assume a Troll? 2 moved to U16 Stars Rovers, 1 to U16 United, and 1 to U17 (goalie). I know it may surprise you but MPS does produce some good talent. Incredibly, even good enough for the STARS!

On3 is very supportive of the teams her kids play on (Stars and LS). There is nothing wrong with that. She is one of the best contributors to this site.

All parents are supportive of their kids teams. Some just take it that one step further.
