Re: Eastern Mass girls HS all-star game
The full rosters don't get released until the date of the game. All selections are invited to attend but only seniors are invited to play. The hierarchy works like this:
1. League All- Star
2. E Mass Second Team All-Star (by division)
3. E Mass First Team All-star (by division)
4. All- State (by division)
5. All-New England (one team)
6. All-American (one team)
There are also various newspaper teams including the Globe and Herald all-scholastics. These are not connected with the EMSCA and NSCAA all-star selections but follow their own independent selection procedures. The leagues, E Mass, State and newspapers also have MVPs or Player of the Year picks. For the conferences the MVP is the player that is forwarded through to the EMSCA as the league's #1 player. That selection comes from the coaches. The Player of the Year for E Mass is selected by the coaches at the meeting that occured back on Veterans Day. It would be interesting to see the various picks and give those players some better publicity.

Re: Eastern Mass girls HS all-star game
I believe that the 1st team lists are printed in order of votes so you can determine the top players in each class (according to the coach's votes)
D1
Sr.: Devin Petta, W/H; Jr.: Haley Brock, A/B Soph., Corey R*an, Norwood; Fr.: none.
D2
Sr.: Ashley Evangalista, Cent Cath.; Jr.: Patrice Vettori, Dedham; Soph.: Rebecca Landers, Danvers; Fr.: Corey Persson, Danvers.
D3
Sr.: Amanda Webster, St. Mary's; Jr.: Jamie Harris, Lynnfield; Soph.: Kelsie Mac Carthy, Arch. Wills.; Fr.: Maretta Guinden, Matignon.

Re: Eastern Mass girls HS all-star game
How is this done so many from each league it must be. There are a lot of good player left off. Weymouth only has one player on the list that doesn't make sense
