    Clubs In Decline

In contrast to the “Up and Coming Clubs”, which clubs will be gone in the next 3-5 years (and why).

NEFC - took on too much all at once. Just a prediction but I don't see any club being able to grow so much in one year successfully. Not to mention Eagles has a history of mergers and none made them dominant before the big events of this year.

Slow and steady wins the race.

      Took on too much?

NEFC still have not paid 2/3 of the referee's for their March Tournament. The most recent excuse for non-payment was that they had run out of checks and are ordering new ones. I am sure that they had no problems cashing checks from the teams. Disappointing, disorganized and embarassing that this should take so long.

When did they say you would get paid?

Any other clubs on the back nine besides NEFC? Can any of the smaller mom and pops survive?

Sure, they can survive as feeder clubs for Stars, Scorps, Bolts, Revs etc...

And you know this how? And know that it's 2/3, but not 52%?
                    Please, stop causing problems.

FO youth teams are doing well and their older teams are playing in competitive Region 1/Premier leagues..

Fuller Hamlets fielding 5 Division 1 Teams, 2 Division 2 Teams, with 2 u10 boys teams and 2 u11 and u12 girls teams.

Decline? Don't think so. Small, definitely. Providing a strong argument that bigger isn't always better? Hamlets aren't doing too badly for a small club with a small pool of players to draw from.

Why does FH have a small pool of players to draw from? If the team/coach is good, wouldn't people travel for the value and opportunity to play for the team? I'm always hearing about how players are coming from NH, RI and Western MA to play for teams in the Metrowest area, so why wouldn't the same happen for FH if they have strong teams?
