    NH State Cup Predictions

    Girls

u-12 (8v8) -- Derry (hands down and no debate)
    u-12 (11v11) -- World Cup
    u-13 -- Seacoast
    u-14 -- Granite
    u-15 -- Seacoast
    u-16 -- Seacoast
    u-17 -- Granite
    u-18 -- Seacoast

    Boys

    u-12 (8v8) -- Express
    u-12 (11v11) -- World Cup
    u-13 -- Seacoast
    u-14 -- Seacoast
    u-15 -- classics
    u-16 -- classics
    u-17 -- classics
    u-18 -- world cup

The dissapearance of Seacoast as predicted winners across the board is caused by their withdrawal from the competition at the U-11 and u-12 ages and the Seacoast Academy draining senior boys out of the u-15 and up boys' competition. On the boys' side, Classics and world cup would not break through if Seacoast competed.

Are you saying that Seacoast Academy players played in state cup matches last spring? Wouldn't that have been a violation of the governing rules of the academy?

The current Classics U16's won state cup at 14 and 15 and easily beat Seacoast beginning at U14 even before the Seacoast players ever joined Academy.

The current Classics U15's have won state cup since they were U12 and have been much better than Seacoast over the years before any of these Seacoast players became Academy players.

The current Classics U14's won state cup last year over Lightning and Seacoast was not a finalist.

Many of these Classics teams have established themselves as quality teams Academy or not and these teams have remained intact and have added stronger players as well.

The Seacoast teams have moved on to dwell at the bottom of the standings at all levels of the Academy, U17/18, U15/16 and U14 Pre-Academy. That may or may not be serving them well but that is a club and player choice.

There is fact and there is opinion. Your opinion of the "draining" of the senior boys appears overstated.

Either way, NH state cup is what it is, just one event in a broad range of opportunities to play and develop. If you are measuring the success of teams and player development based on the results of that one event, you have set the bar low.

no, but at u17, there are many players who do not make the u18 academy team, that are currently on it now

The Derry team is a true u11 team. I think the Classics team is too. It should be a good match and a fun, competitive game for all the girls.

Is there any team in this particular competition that is not a true U-11 team? As for the match, if Derry shows up (always an open issue at these young ages), it will be one sided in favor of Derry.

Having seen both teams play, I think it will be a good match. I'd be surprised if it was one-sided.

Which team would that be??? I see Derry defeated Classics 2-0. Looks like they may get to play again if the Classics defeat Bedford....
