        Wouldn't Be Surprising!

The Blues U14 team used to be the class of the league when they were younger. This team evolved from a Pacific Soccer Club team that at U9 and U10 were almost unbeatable and were a team assembled by Ron D and Chris K. A significant number of impact players left this year for Surf and WCFC and the team could only muster a 6th place finish which clearly puts them on the relegation bubble.

Directionally, the team isn't and hasn't improved under this particular coach and for good solid players to leave the team and the Blues organization is an indicator that something is amiss.

This coach also coaches at Vanguard, and all the majority of the high school teams at Aliso Niquel. Perhaps too many irons in the fire with not enuff focus on the Blues team in question?? Jack of all trades, master of none?

Good point. This team will need a good showing at Nationals and will need to recruit to replace the ODP player as well as others that left. I agree that workload doenst leave much time for family let alone hitting the winter tournament circuit looking for players.

Definately master of none. Who the hell is Vanguard ??? He has never done anything anywhere.

I know he wears his hood for almost every game. Hides from the parents until kickoff. Rarely has eye contact. Would you want this guy coaching your daughter??

Actually, there is very few of the original core left. I have observed this coach interact with his young charges and I think he is better suited to an older team. But thats the Blues problem for assigning him to this team to begin with and not holding on to the players there had success with.

I remember when this team was at their peak, they seemed to be ahead of other good teams of the same age by having better passing, overlapping and being good opportunists taking advantage of other teams mistakes. As I recall they had speed and endurance too. It's sad that this team is losing ground but then again if my DD's team has to play them at nationals we may have a better chance.

They can't recruit any impactful talent. The girls in this age group don't want to play with a team of bickering, bullying players that they have heard on the field playing against them for years. There are too many other good U14 gold team options. Plus, the recruiting tactics of the former coach was a turn off to parents and players. The current coach is too arrogant to give him your money. A little humility is in order.

Was Randy D removed as the teams coach?

                            Anyone?

Randy is still the coach and isn't going anywhere.
