All the more reason for parents on this site to calm down. Your kids are probably not going to be professional soccer players. Perhaps we should pay more attention to what they do in school??

There are parents all over this site talking about 12-13 year olds and how great they are at soccer. Injuries like these show how quickly that can all change. My point is that the parents need to settle down!

In my experience, if you were to poll every female U18 team in the state you'd find an average of somewhere around 4 ACL tears per team

Sad but true.

It's never to early to work with the kids on proper running/jumping/landing technique.
