Look at the list of college coaches attending. Yecch. A team would be MUCH better off playing in the MPS showcase next week. JD made the right call. The Stars B team, not so much.

I have some advice regarding the event. Please take one day and just let it be Mother's Day without club soccer grinding into your wallet. Happy Mother's Day mom, we lost a soccer tournament on the one day the country sets aside for all the crap you put up with throughout the year. This is our fourth year of club soccer and I won't let our daughter play on it just so we could possibly spend the day with her mom. We had a "U-10" game scheduled, drove almost two hours to a rain out that the coach wasn't sure about so he wanted to make a game time decision. Never again, its her day and leave it at that. The clubs think that life revolves around them, they are the sun and its blasphamy if you don't make every practice, every game. Give the moms just one day, please?

This mom would rather spend the day at a soccer tournament then hanging out doing nothing.

Or you could say that Mother's and Father's Day are completely stupid days invented to sell greeting cards and that you so enjoy watching your child play soccer that you would much rather spend the day doing that rather than feeling self important.

Mom can sit at home on her throne. The daughter can play in this crappy tournament.

Why do you say that it is crappy?

Would you say this is a top tier tournament? How many of the clubs have you actually heard of? How many of the colleges attending would you want your kid playing at?

Wow...that might be the most smug/asinine response ever posted in this comment section (and there have been a fair amount of them)

For the poster of the above quote...how do you know your kid is good enough to play at any of those colleges that are attending?

Regardless of talent level, please state which school would be at the top of your kid's college list.
