With so many strong players and teams coming up to U13 next season, probably the strong year ever - how many do you think will make the national team in a couple of years?

Your daughter anyway and the rest can only hope.

Try this again in a couple of years. The girls at this age (U13) are still not full grown. Few teams have had the opportunity to consistently play opponents outside the area and even during U13 the competition is spotty at best (Sub-region in the spring is not any different than playing Maple D1). See how good the girls and teams look after U14 and then start this thread. Until then it's a joke.

National team? Couple years? Lotto? About the same odds. Read "Warrior Girls" and see what can stop even the best at an early age.

How many girls from MA are currently on the national team? I personally do not know, but I bet the number is low (if any).
That is a heck of a leap from the self proclaimed strongest group ever to making the national team in a few years. You might want to stick to worrying about this Sunday...

3 from MYSA, 2 from MA and several more in the various age group national pools from what I can see.

Silly Rabbit, don't you realize that at U13 the best girls players are usually playing up a year (or two). They won't play age appropriate for at least another year. If there aren't at least 4 or 5 impact players that are currently with the U14 Scorps, Stars and Renegades, then it is a weak age group both for individual and team talent. The current U16 group is tops in regard to teams and players and they have a single U17WNT player and one that is scratching to get on the NT. U14 is also pretty strong, but again, many of the best players are still playing up, including the one U14NT pool player. Most importantly, if you are still worried about MAPLE, then things are pretty dim.

The original post is an obvious goof and still morons keep hopping onto this thread to refute it.

Maybe we should just petition US Soccer to start a U13 National Team. That way, we won't have to sit through these agonizing years until U15/16

There will be no GU13 on a National Team as there is not a national team at the age group

ps. Viva la U13
