At least the girls don't have to wear the Ronald McDonald uniforms anymore. I guess Countryside did bring a little class to them.

It was never a merger it was a take over and players from both clubs left because of the way it was poorly handled. Many of the good coaches that were at Countryside left the year before or just stopped coaching (like GS, and TT). This year DO and MR weren't offered spots at the club. Then BP forgot to tell them that he wasn't coming and went to Palm Harbor.

I like the confidence but technically, they would be a new team and have to challenge for a division 1 spot. Unlike CDL your team name does not guarantee acceptance, you have to win it on the field. Based on last year standings, they would play either Plant City or SYAA. Lose and you are a division 3 team.

SO IS PLANT CITY AND SYAA TRYING TO BECOME A DIV-1 TEAM...

New Tampa and Img are also looking to place U14 teams in USA Div 1 so expect to see some kind of round robin .
As for PC and SYAA as division 2 winners they shoud not have to play in any challenge games

How about playing teams that will challenge but not demoralize players, that might work better than taking a beating every game you play. If team is "competitive" playing up then it can be a great advantage for them in the future, but if they are consistently getting killed it doesn't help anybody.

Yeah look at how Cside killed everyone last year in USA (before you say it I know you upgraded some talent) but please too say you cannot find competition at u14 is ridiculous, and yes you still have plenty of weaknesses as do most teams of 13-14 yr olds. i do agree that there are average 15's is that what you want? big deal.

I expect that both teams will have the brackets fixed so they will have easy draws in their Puma Cup tournament. The teams that are mostly D2 and D3 teams will have the cards stacked against them. Why didn't they sign up for Disney or Atlanta...no home cookin ?

I has kids that had played for the Chargers and one that still plays at Clearwater. I agree that the 2 coaches that you are talking about should go. JB let when my oldest was at the club and that was a good move. SS has been there for years and I think Peter should really look at this situation and replace him. I think that he would be surprised at how many people would like to see them both leave. Just my opinion.

You are correct and Siggi has no idea how to develop or train players. He has been coaching that same team for 4 years and they got out scored 8-1 last weekend. How many years does it take him to develop them. Maybe it is the opposite of development and his team is losing ground to teams that are getting trained and losing to players that have learned how to play the game. I have never seen a coach do less. I guess he is training them how to get knocked out of state cup in the 1st round every year. He is a perfect example of how the Chargers do not care about the girls side of the program. Find a program that knows how to develop players and teaches the game.

SN can't coach that is what happened. His team has lost 4-0, lost 4-1, and won 1-0 over Lakeland. They are not very good and it isn't because of the players. Why are they playing in the Puma Tournament with D2 teams and not Disney...because they can control the bracket and maybe get some wins. SN is the same guy that won't talk to players after they lose, now that is a good coach. He is lost and he has to used the ODP gig to recruit players because he can develop sh!t. The parents that really care about their players development would not let this loser coach their child. Ask why every year 1/2 of his team quits soccer or plays at another club every season.

Some of his best players left. He doesn't talk and acts like a spoiled child. I remember on a road trip back home when the bus stopped to eat. He went into the restaurant and ordered his food and went and sat on the bus by himself. While all of the players and families ate dinner inside. That is the act of a loser and not a role model or coach. If my daughter did that I would be embarrassed and she is 15. What about when he is so upset that got drunk at the hotel pool and he could not get out. Some of the fathers had to pull him out. Now that is a good example to set for young girls, what a great coach. So don't come on here and defend that loser. I wish the players well, they will need it and suggest looking to another team.

You are wrong !! The Disney tournament has the Clearwater U14 boys, U15 boys, U17 girls and U18 girls. None of those teams are Academy teams and they aren't in Puma. SN wants to try to get some wins with the help of the club. Don't make up crap when you don't know what you are talking about.

How far has JB's U14 girls team fallen ? They finish 3rd in an easy bracket that was won by Citrus United. That is correct their hand picked bracket didn't workout too good. So her team got smoked 6-1 by a U13 team that have never played 11v11 and then they finish 3rd in a rec bracket. Citrus United was D2 last year and will be again this year.

I can't even begin to imagine what is going on with this U-14 G team. This is borderline embarrassing. What are they going to do? This could not have been good weekend, let alone start of the season which is very long, for the girls or the parents. What are the parents saying? Would they consider pulling their kids and going to another club? The girls have to be flat miserable. This is not a good start for some of these girls that have to be good players. I wish them the best of luck, this just does not seem right.

The girls and families are being told to give it a year...this is the first year in JB's system and the results will come later. I agree....this is a new team and will take time to develop. Isn't that what all you 'soccer know it alls' say is really important anyway?
