The Lamphere coach's brother is a convicted felon. See "Metro Detroit soccer coach's turf: A trail of trouble" thread on this forum.
I get the idea that there is a disgruntled parent or maybe a club or HS coach that is trying to discredit the Lamphere coach
Seems more likely it is a parent who was part of their season, knows too much about the team to be a former coach or anyone outside the program. Sounds like someone who was there. If those allegations are true, it shouldn't be too long before it hits the fan.
Come on coach - I even numbered them for you, so you wouldn't get confused when you deny and/or explain each and everyone of the six charges at the bottom of the first page of this post. I figured you would want to have your say? To try to regain some of the little respect the community has for your coaching at the club level, high school level, not to mention assisting at the semi college level. Don't you or your supporters have anything to say? Remember your motto - deny deny spin spin deny deny spin...
I can't believe the AD knows about any of this and hasn't done anything, which leads me to believe it is a whole lot of hogwash. If there is any truth to this stuff, then it needs to be taken higher, to the school board, where they both, coach and AD could be in a whole heap of trouble, I guess we will stay tuned

The AD has been notified by his superintendent to get rid of him.
I could care less about him (coach), bro-bro, and the dutch wonder twins, but How can someone get fired or in trouble for "recomending, requestion, inquiring" to train with someone, especially if the kids' didn't get trained by him. I thought he wasn't allowed to coach or work with kids' in a league or school program that requires a RM card. So, if no one trained, no rule was broken. I would agree to have a disciplinary measure if the kids' did train.
I am not saying it is, but does the shade of grey I am casting here make sense?
Well, if I were your boss and I wanted you to learn from a felon, and you didn't go, don't you think I still did wrong?
And remember these were 15 and 16 year old girls and their parents were not consulted by the coach, and the kids were "pressured" into attending. One even pleaded with her parents to miss an important meeting that had to do with her summer job, saying she felt it would affect her playing time if she didn't do what the coach asked her to do. Not to mention when it did get exposed, the coached denied and lied to his AD about it. Of course the AD didn't investigate it any further (like asking the girls what transpired), most likely because he didn't want it to get any stickier. I believe the real problem (above and beyond the obvious rule violations with allegations [1] and [2]) is the fact that the girls don't want to play for him and don't give their best when they do. None came to his tryouts and in fact the ones that did play for his club left, and girls deciding to play softball instead of the sport they love and excel in says enough.
Where did you hear that the AD was notified by the super to get rid of RC?

i would love to know if any of this is true, if a coach did the things or even had kids leave I would be worried, someone should know him and have some sort of reaal info to either back up this stuff or explain
I know for a fact that he is a liar, lied on numerous occasions to me directly, and about silly stuff (mostly about not breaking small rules and bragging a bit too much) which I didn't really think about until I read this stuff. It doesn't surprise me. He is quite a salesman (Rick).

Does anyone know if the board knows about all of this, especially the part about the AD not investigating ie talking to the girls involved? It seems that the problem here is that no one truly knows the truth, if there was communication between the AD and the girls and the coach (and the parents) there wouldn't be any reason for all these posts. in other words wheres there smoke there SEEMS to be fire. A simple discussion between the parties would most likely blow the smoke away and either reveal a coach that should not be coaching or simply a coach that has been wronged by silly allegations. So, does the board, super, AD know about all of this and have they looked into it by asking, discussing it with the parties involved? Obviously if they care about the kids, they will do this...
Simple. Copy and mail/Email this thread to each individual board member plus the superintendent plus the athletic director. Also, send to Fred Girard at the Detroit News.

If 1 and 2 are true, would coach be fired?
(1) It was a tryout with a convicted felon. One who is banned from youth soccer on all levels. He wrote letters to teen girls from his jail cell. You didn’t even talk to your girls parents, simply badgered your players on numerous occasions, that the tryout was an important opportunity, which would be important to their HS soccer careers… Best part is the flat denial to the AD when confronted, and you lied to him, your boss… Because this is a fire-able offense
(2) So, is it poaching when you constantly tell a few of your HS players that they need your coaching abilities to “go to the next level”? So much so, that said girls literally try to avoid having one on one conversations with you because they know it will eventually lead to how important it is that the girl goes to VE tryouts. The girls said it was a weekly discussion, well actually a one way discussion. Best part is the flat denial to the AD when confronted, and you lied to him, your boss… Because this is also a fire-able offense.
(3) True, it ended up that you didn’t need to step down as coach of u16gVE, but don’t you wonder why not even one – not one - of your Lamphere girls came to your tryouts, not even the three (one varsity and two jv) that played for you last Spring. If your team respected, liked, played so hard for you, and you are such a good coach, why did they all run from you? Can you explain this interesting behavior?
(4) Why have all the girls that have been coached by you say that you are not a good coach? They say that all you do is tell them how bad they are, and what they have done wrong, and that they haven’t been coached right in the past, and that they can’t do this right and can’t do that right, and are selfish, and can’t finish, and the criticisms go on and on – yet not one of the girls can say what you have taught them about the game. Interesting.
You definitely can take them to the next level… lol
(5) These girls have progressed under the training and coaching they have received and have chosen over you. They started in MYSL and progressed to MSP and progressed from classic divisions to P2. These girls under the coaching and training of a “nice” guy who never played the game, have never been moved down a division and have beaten numerous teams ranked/rated higher than them. They have done quite well under the coaching and training of someone who gets NO MONEY for what he does – NO MONEY WHATSOEVER. Unlike yourself, who gets quite a bit of money for what? For lying to parents who write the checks to you… For telling your students they suck… Great mentor… Awesome motivator… very funny though
(6) Just the fact that there are good soccer players (one was your second on your team in points, and another was forth in points) that are going to play softball next year – because you are coaching the team. They told me that if ANYONE else was coaching, – the math teacher, the bus driver, the janitor – they would play soccer. Yet they plan to play softball simply because you are the coach. This is not just one or two BUT FOUR OR FIVE players from last year, THREE OR FOUR VARSITY STARTERS!!! Does this not tell you how bad of a coach or at least how much these players do not respect you? And will not play for you?
As expected, no one has the balls to do the right thing. Easier to complain on a forum...maybe even more fun. If I had a daugher at Lamphere, I would not have hesitated to make the calls.
Not one, but at least four calls were made and three face to face visits that I know of, and Russ (the AD) simply did not investigate the allegations, IE he never asked he girls anything, of course, that maybe because he knew the prez of the school board hired this clown, and knows the prez believes R is a great coach (of course the prez's younger daughter, ie "They are coming" [Mlive, lol], was coached and trained by the one and the only Mark C) and can do nothing wrong but even lsd prez heard some interesting aspects of Rick's motivational techniques, but they all believed him and not one talked to the girls, Especially the girls who no longer want to play soccer because he is the coach of Lamphere. I have nothing against rick, except for the fact the HE alone is screwing up any chances that a small div three school could make a splash on the HS scene, except that he alone can screw up a good thing being selfish and looking for the silver lining in his world of career soccer coaching... Am I wrong? Does anyone have a word to defend the "good" Christensen brother???

they are the u13 mysl team now. because of lack of true 12 aged players (8-9 left remember)?
they duel rostered the mspsp players to created a team for the few that stayed.
so yes u are right there is not a "true" u12 age team, but the u13 mysl team is a mix of players including u12s and 13's

Robert - I would be more worried about the guy who hired him, and the guy who knew about all the transgressions and did nothing about it, i mean, you know, it just girls soccer, from a small school, in a little district, who would care, who would look into it...

I can see why so many want him out, he isn't that good and I know he is a "snake" like many say. Fact is, he is where he is at for a reason, simply not a great coach, motivator, or teacher of the game. Perfect for a crappy little no talent division three school, a club that pays for its name, and a comm college... What do you expect!?!

Why would a school put up with this? Has anyone invetigated this with the students, talked to them directly about the rule violation allegations? Just seems obvious that would be the end to it.

Yep, he is a great coach, just ask this Spring's Lamphere softball team, which will be his last year's soccer team! Let's see what a great coach he is then :(

The girls did the talking on the field yesterday and it was clear which players/team has progressed more over the last two months. The score could even have been much higher as several chances close to the goal were missed. The Vardar East goalie had an easy afternoon.
It would be a shame if a couple of the Lamphere girls decide to play softball as they will miss out on the only 'real' soccer training they will get this year.
Now go ahead and continue to bash RC again... the defeat by 4 goals yesterday proves nothing or does it?

Never Mind, after reading through this a couple of times I put what the "poster" was saying.
We all can't make a living at coaching and er uh, manipulating parents to make our house payments due to lack of job skills.
Shouldn't knock the volunteer, if it wasn't for the volunteer status coach, self proclamed over-seas bi-products such as yourself would have
to be a door greeter at Wal-Mart since you have difficulty beating equal to greater teams.
If the girls who are going to play softball were to play softball and not play soccer, any training would be the best training they would get fore they are not going to play soccer.
Example:
If Corkey the limp walking / half-wit, drooling paper boy were to coach them, that would be the best training they would receive because they are not going to play soccer.

from what i read, can someone explain how this coach can be defended if his players are leaving his team, and why are they leaving his team
I would have to say we can justify the issue of players leaving him or at least put truth to that when the girl's season begins.
We have hear say at the moment, i think when the team is selected and hits the pitch there is proof in the pudding, then we can
ask that question with more confidence.
Sine this guy doest scare me, I will ask him face to face if those players truly did jump ship.
Why not ask those who know, ask the girls...
I don't think approaching minors is a good idea by any means. I am not with the HS program nor the Club program, so being
from the outside, probably not a good idea.
Yes, I see and understand your comment to ask the girls themselves, but let's think this out deeper.
What if this is a RC baiting tactic, maybe he is putting it out there they are leaving and waiting for someone
like us to "approach a minor" and he then gets on his high horse and saves the day with his whistleblowing weasle style approach?

Oh please, these aren't three year olds. They would confirm the poaching and the pressurring to come to the training session with his brother (again this is not all the girls, but two that aren't coming back) as well as why there are half a dozen girls planning on playing a different sport this Spring, eben though they have played soccer for years. This isn't a big deal, but it is sad that a "Coach" would alienate his players so bad, to make them feel this way about playing for him.

I know they are not three years old, but they are under eighteen and these days we have to take appropriate steps of approach.
Alienation is his calling card isn't it?
Here are the 5 steps of how to manage and their quoted examples:
a) Pit player against player - "so and so says she's going for your spot this year, you better pick it up or she might"
b) Pit parent against parent - "I hear the Jone ' s don't like how you give praise to two of the players on this team but not their kid as much"
c) Pit parent against coach - "Coach, I hear you are telling others you don't think my kid is as good as the Jone ' s"
d) Pit coach against coach - "I hear you want to take my team this next fall"
e) Pit coach against director(s) - "I hear you don't think that a coach with anything less than an "A" should coach in the premier league"

from what i have heard the girls say he knows soccer but knows nothing about handling and motivating girls, saying he is very critical, to the point of tears on the team as well as players playing not to make mistakes and playing too tight
he did pit player against player but not as blatant as your your examples, more simply by playing less talented older players (as well as praising these less talented older players) over the more talented younger players, all the time like all the time, i can't stress enough that these girls said he constantly put down the younger talent that were winning the games and constantly, all the time, praising the older players that were part of the previous two win seasons
he would tell them how selfish they were how they were coached bad and incorrectly and how they had know idea what they were doing, all the while they were winning each and every game. then came the Centerline match, and the rest is history
i am sure nothing will change and lamphere will continue without the talented athletes that this team could have, they will always be close but not great, really sad because i dont think lamphere will ever see the talent that they will see in the next four years, unfortunately these soccer players will be swinging a bat at a much smaller ball because of a coach

Facts are
(1) rc persuaded girls to tryout for ve while he coached lamphere, poaching period
(2) rc asked, persuaded lamphere girls to train with his brother, without discussing it with their parents
(3) rc has girls on the lamphere squad that no longer want to play hs soccer becuse of him
(4) rc does not know hoe to motivate talented players, nor does he know how to get them to play their best for him
(5) rc blows up at the girls getting them off their game (need I say Centerline) and not wanting to play hard for him
(6) rc lies to his ad, which the girls hear about and feel that they do not have anyone looking out them
(7) rc could care less about lamphere and only cares about himself
so predictions how the rickster will do a league up and without his studs he scared away with his precious personality GOSH i guess he will have to actually develop some players now or simply collect his paycheck and wait for more talent as we all know by now THEY ARE COMING :lol:
gotta keep your eye open at elite training center in macomb, ve training there and they have full access of the building, never know who will be training those kids' behind closed doors.

(5) These girls have progressed under the training and coaching they have received and have chosen over you. They started in MYSL and progressed to MSP and progressed from classic divisions to P2. These girls under the coaching and training of a “nice” guy who never played the game, have never been moved down a division and have beaten numerous teams ranked/rated higher than them. They have done quite well under the coaching and training of someone who gets NO MONEY for what he does – NO MONEY WHATSOEVER.
The girls did the talking on the field yesterday and it was clear which players/team has progressed more over the last two months. The score could even have been much higher as several chances close to the goal were missed. The Vardar East goalie had an easy afternoon.
It would be a shame if a couple of the Lamphere girls decide to play softball as they will miss out on the only 'real' soccer training they will get this year.
Now go ahead and continue to bash RC again... the defeat by 4 goals yesterday proves nothing or does it?

I have heard the same thing about RCs relationship with JH and MH. He likes their resumes and how it attracts and lands talent. This is a valuble asset as club soccer like this is about having talent, not developing it. Heck, all "Making a living" soccer clubs are like this. Talent equals wins, more wins equals higher attraction of talent etc etc. The hard part is the sell, and keeping everyone happy. This is the tough part for VE, as we have seen.

The standings don't have the game listed so is it really official or is this just another lie and is it really that important to you to show up your HS players in public. The season has been over for weeks. Why do you have something against their coach that you always have to mention him in here and yes, I would say that both teams losing only 2 games meant that they played great? I am a Lamphere parent, and my daughter may or may not come back to play HS for you. After I read what you post on here I know in my heart what kind of clown you truely are. Both teams had only 2 losses for the entire season, now that is a fact - so can you post something to make the other team look bad and put a twist in regards to that fact? I am sure you will, what ever to make you feel better about your pathetic self. And since when is a soccer goal worth 7 points in another sport? At least in your mind. Also, the only lesson the girls were taught is that now they have to take abuse from their HS coach because they lost one game to his club team - a club team they chose not to play for. Reading comprehension is bad on your part, shows your education level ... they did play a great season, had a bad game the day they played against you. So you did see them play a bad game, moron! No one said that they played a great game that day, geezzz. You don't really get it, do you, no thought process in that brain of yours! Another funny string which the HS coach seems so excited by beating the "rival" coaches team. Let's see, the HS coaches team costs nearly two grand a year while the city club team pays a couple hundred a season? One club pays for a name while the other has chemistry and friendships, one coach makes a living while the other volunteers. The HS coach makes fun of the nice guy, while his players find another club to play for, or play a different Spring sport. This string is not only funny to read, but again terribly sad when the realization is that behavior of one egotistical old man affects the lives youngsters in an negative way. Could someone explain to me how the behavior of the HS coach can be defended?
I don't get the venom either way......probably because i'm an outside observer. Parents, if you don't want your kids playing for someone, have them play eslewhere. Or in the case of high school, follow the PROPER channels to have them removed. If your accusations have any merit, I'm sure the process will play out accordingly.
Let me also say this....kids sometimes perceive situations differently than adults do, and sometimes they need to learn the lesson that not every situation is fair. Mom and dad aren't always going to be around to take your back, embrace the challenge that dealing with a difficult personality can provide. Again just an outsider...please don't flam.

This, of course, could be because girls often mix up what has been said to them, or they take the comment in a way unintended by the communicator. Unfortunately, we have endured a season of your comments to our kids. Our kids came home with your demeaning comments, negative motivating techniques, and then the unbelievable Centerline game tirade. Sure kids can take things the wrong way, but over and over and over again? I don’t think so. And from more than one or two kids, all of them expressed issues about your comments to them. Are there parents that are jealous of other kids skill, playing time, and accolades? Sure there are, but I don’t see postings about that, only about the behavior of the coach. The kids said you pressured them into coming to a training session with your brother, without talking to their parents, clearly a violation of numerous moral issues and maybe a violation of more serious charges. The kids said you pressured them into trying out for VE, clearly a violation of poaching policy. This wasn’t a one time occasion, it was said you talked to them so often about this topic that they avoided one on one conversations with you. They reported that you constantly put down the RO team, and their coach. Telling them they would progress much farther with VE training. I have ignored this kind of garbage too long. I talked to two young ladies at school and said to them they did not seem to get into playing the game that day. They both said yes and nothing else was said. I did not coach VE U-16 G to stay away from these issues. I only trained them and my daughter is on the team. I was expecting a very physical rough game and the R.O. team played with great composure no conflicts.(Credit to there coach, and players) Parents,There are some people that are very jealous of your children. I really know nothing about and have little interest in the whole Lamphere High School/ Vardar East conversations. My daughter graduated from Royal Oak High this past spring. But, what I do know is that the RO Sparx coach was never in contention for the Royal Oak girls varsity coaching position. He may be a good coach or may not be, but please don't come on hear and flat out lie and make rumors that reflect the entire community, even if you are based in Lamphere. Royal Oak High School has tremendous varsity coaches on both the boys and girls side and are pretty stable for many years to come.

You people have beat this horse into the ground that there is only dust now. What EXACTLY is the main goal of why you keep reposting this same ****. Nobody cares anymore, the guy will still train both boys and girls. Reguardless of what fred Girard wrote. Now who was the coach before R.C at Lamphere. It was a tryout with a convicted felon. One who is banned from youth soccer on all levels. He wrote letters to teen girls from his jail cell. You didn’t even talk to your girls parents, simply badgered your players on numerous occasions, that the tryout was an important opportunity, which would be important to their HS soccer careers… Best part is the flat denial to the AD when confronted, and you lied to him, your boss...
So, is it poaching when you constantly tell a few of your HS players that they need your coaching abilities to “go to the next level”? So much so, that said girls literally try to avoid having one on one conversations with you because they know it will eventually lead to how important it is that the girl goes to VE tryouts. The girls said it was a weekly discussion, well actually a one way discussion. Best part is the flat denial to the AD when confronted, and you lied to him, your boss…
True, it ended up that you didn’t need to step down as coach of u16gVE, but don’t you wonder why not even one – not one - of your Lamphere girls came to your tryouts, not even the three (one varsity and two jv) that played for you last Spring. If your team respected, liked, played so hard for you, and you are such a good coach, why did they all run from you? Can you explain this interesting behavior?
Just the fact that there are good soccer players (one was your second on your team in points, and another was forth in points) that are going to play softball next year – because you are coaching the team. They told me that if ANYONE else was coaching, – the math teacher, the bus driver, the janitor – they would play soccer. Yet they plan to play softball simply because you are the coach. This is not just one or two BUT FOUR OR FIVE players from last year, THREE OR FOUR VARSITY STARTERS!!! Does this not tell you how bad of a coach or at least how much these players do not respect you? And will not play for you?
Why haven't these been addressed? Does anyone believe these actions to be untrue or out of character? Where are the coherent defenders of the boys? All they can do is name call and distract, how about actual explanations?

He doesnt owe any of you parents or kids an explanation. Does your boss at work have to explain himself to you? What am I talking about, you dont even work. Or know what real work is. Being a bagger at Meijers doesnt count. So shut the **** up pindick.Those girls you mentioned were leaving reguardless, they couldnt handle the training that was provided. Who couldnt jump on a softball team. Let alone Lamphere's. No worries for the soccer team they will do just fine in the upcoming years without those slacks that left. Now they may actually win States, cause god knows they **** the bed last year! :-({|=

What the **** do you want me to say? We all have wrong doings, no need to rehash stuff from 10plus years ago, over and over. I see nothing wrong with him. He has been nothing but a great guy to my family and I. Sorry I dont have anything bad to say. My kids feel the same way too. Yeah I get crazy on here but it is because he has made my kids love the game more and more. And seeing where they were prior to having him coaching them to coaching them makes me very happy.

The guy has never given me any reason to think that. He really is the best trainer we have come across. And at the best price, no one is even close for both areas. When he does a 2 hour training, my kids can barely talk after it. That makes for the ride home... even better. They want to be pushed to there physical limits, they know it is worth it during games. Playing hard from the first whistle to the last. And that is what I expect too.
so the court exhibits are no big deal, and the mother of your children know about the court exhibits and she is cool with this amazing godlike soccer training

Honestly, do you not believe the court exhibits of the inappropriate letters from prison? Or do you feel as long as he "develops" your kid, and doesn't try to kiss her, all is forgiven?
obviously soccer development is more important to the dog who feels he is the top, when most parents top priority would be to keep their daughters out of harms way, even if there is only a chance. I mean really, why would one take a chance - unless you are with her every minute of training. Are you?

Although sad, I often chuckle that the defenders never address the subject nor actual issues, only sending up red herrings, changing the subject and/or diverting the argument elsewhere. As well as ad hominem arguments, simply attacking those with important points or meaningful questions, often effectively changing the direction of the strings. I am tired of deleting all the trash that you people in Michigan post on here. (Nothing against Michigan, I went to a college there, although I am from OHIO....Anyway my son played some great squads in his day from Vardar).....Back to point....There is to be NO using of players Names, Initials or Numbers, especially if used in a negative way. Seems like from reading these strings, they would end if the following were simply addressed
1-why wasnt there a talk with the parents about training with your brother, a few from the team constantly told they should come
2-why wasnt there a talk with the parents about the girls trying out with your club (poaching), instead of just pressuring the girls (poaching), from a high school coaches position
3-why was one and two denied to the AD when confronted
4-why didnt they come to the tryouts, including a few that played for the club already, one of which played varsity for the HS team
5-why are there so many players that talk about demeaning, negative, and belittling comments made during the training and season
6-why are there some that will play softball instead of soccer
What do you think of the Det News article and how would feel if he was training teen girls in YOUR soccer community???
And how do you stop writing checks to a high school team?
Let’s think about this. Obviously folks can stop writing checks. But I don’t think this is what these strings are about as I am sure those with grievances have already stopped writing those checks and moved on to happier pitches. These forums and strings are for those investigating clubs they might write checks to, so informing them with information is valuable in that endeavor. In fact the deletions and Mlive patrolling and court cases simply mean that the info on these strings are either lies or truths that certain clubs do not want read by perspective check writers, right? So the question is what is the truth. While some simply want answers, just simple explanations of behavior and actions, the answers have been lawsuits and deletions. Interesting isn’t it? It would be fairly simple to explain one’s actions and behaviors, yet the allegations are handled by deleting the easy ones (Mlive) and complaining in the courts and to forum administrators (here), instead of answering the questions asked. It only leads to believing the numerous allegations of the posts. Where else are those who stopped writing checks to go, to help others from falling into the same situation they were in, and these are kids.
Besides the drama and who will play etc, any predictions (besides they are coming) on how they will do in the blue this Spring?

This is the first time and only time i will be on this forum. I am sorry for all the bad things people are saying about your kids and the Lamphere program.
I have ignored this kind of garbage too long. I talked to two young ladies at school and said to them they did not seem to get into playing the game that day. They both said yes and nothing else was said. I did not coach VE U-16 G to stay away from these issues. I only trained them and my daughter is on the team. I was expecting a very physical rough game and the R.O. team played with great composure no conflicts.(Credit to there coach, and players) Parents,There are some people that are very jealous of your children. Sometimes they are in the same school. I will have my Attorney handle them - - - - . As for this forum please do not respond to this trash. Parents, and Players (call with any concerns)

I’m afraid that you have not understood these postings. There are no posts that say bad things about the kids, and no posts that say bad things about the Lamphere program. Only posts that say bad things about the coach of the Lamphere soccer team. Your version of the of the comments said to your HS players about their loss to VE while playing for their club team, doesn’t resemble their version of the encounter. This, of course, could be because girls often mix up what has been said to them, or they take the comment in a way unintended by the communicator. Unfortunately, we have endured a season of your comments to our kids. Our kids came home with your demeaning comments, negative motivating techniques, and then the unbelievable Centerline game tirade. Sure kids can take things the wrong way, but over and over and over again? I don’t think so. And from more than one or two kids, all of them expressed issues about your comments to them. Are there parents that are jealous of other kids skill, playing time, and accolades? Sure there are, but I don’t see postings about that, only about the behavior of the coach. The kids said you pressured them into coming to a training session with your brother, without talking to their parents, clearly a violation of numerous moral issues and maybe a violation of more serious charges. The kids said you pressured them into trying out for VE, clearly a violation of poaching policy. This wasn’t a one time occasion, it was said you talked to them so often about this topic that they avoided one on one conversations with you. They reported that you constantly put down their RO team, and their coach. Telling them they would progress much farther with VE training. This was brought to the attention of school administrators by more than one parent, and nothing was done about it. You lied about the conversations you had with our kids, or our kids lied. But our kids’ stories were all the same, and there were more than one kid that collaborated the conversations. Yet your word was the one believed by the director of athletics of Lamphere, and nothing was looked into, and nobody talked to the girls about the details of the violations above. Before you call these posts garbage, you may want to think about asking the girls if they had fun last year, if it was a rewarding experience, if they “progressed” as you like to say. You need to learn how to talk to, instruct, and motivate female athletes, because there are players that do not want to play for you this Spring, and others who are telling us they are not looking forward to it, because of how the coach treated them last year. Doesn’t that say enough? Can you explain why they feel this way?

Doesn't he have a day job at SECO? There are plenty of certified teachers who are qualified to coach soccer at Lamphere.

Soccer has been around long enough in Michigan to use qualified, contracted teachers as soccer coaches. The club bums have been able to brainwash high school administrators into thinking that there isn't anyone who can be utilized from within the staff ranks.
sounds like they would be better off with a teacher than a club coach, probably have more fun, they are division three not like they will be state champs or something

Now theres the question! These gals turned around a team and a high school, they should be having the time of their lives! Even if they never get by those schools who may or may not recruit their players, if ONE player choses not to play because of a coach, that coach ought to reevaluate the goals (no pun intended) of high school soccer!
Could someone explain why girls on a team that turned itself around in a season, went from one win season, to a one loss season, would not come back to play? It must have been a really bad experience? Is there any other explanation? Why would this be?
Most of them will play. And the incoming freshman will make the team stronger which has to happen if they are going to be successful again.
Don't believe everything you read. Just because one person holds a grudge for personal reasons and posts on here over and over again does not mean a thing.

Rarely do Lamphere High School mismanagement attract the attention of watchdogs. But so scandalous has been Lamphere High School in its affairs. In their Report of late last year how Lamphere High School was MAC Gold Champions!!!!!!!! 8-2-2 league (14-3-3 overal)
Lamphere administrators couldn't ignore the girls varsity situation any longer.
