so 5a seems pretty blanced this year. in the district im in 4-
5A maybe? from top to bottom theres not one team better than another. actually leesburg and Forest lost a lot of talent in seniors. lake weir sucks, and vanguard isnt very good either. ghs learned how to play soccer finally. they actually look decent this year. but in 5A itll probably be wlfson or auburndale or someone like that. who's good this year for 5A?

W-olfson has some growing to do, but look to be coming together as a team. Fleming Island could rise up. Niceville is tucked away in the northwest and nobody, I mean nobody takes Niceville for granted, especially if you play there. Leon, Lincoln, and Chiles will shake out, but they generally beat up on each other pretty good. How much better is GHS than last season?

Has anybody even heard of any of these schools? Have any of them gotten out of their region? If they have, are they slaughtered in states?

Wolf-son won the region last year, but lost to Auburndale in a close 1-0 game.

I understand you comment, though, about the talent compared to the south. The districts are far away in the north, with 3 hours from Jax to Leon, or longer to Niceville. So we naturally don't see much of the talent until post district play.

Gainesville High is about ten times better than last year, and the talent has balanced out this year in 5-4A. But GHS can pass the ball and look like they've played together everyday over summer. They definitely aren't Lake Weir squared this year. But Leon is always a team to look out for. They always seem to turn it on during the playoffs, don't they? How is Auburndale this year? I know they lost their stud player but I always see their school doing well in the playoffs.

This appears to be mediocre district this year. It's unlikely that any of these teams will go very far in the playoffs. But Vanguard is as good as anyone in the district. They lost 3-2 to Leesburg and beat Gainesville 2-1 (Gainesville score was an own goal by Vanguard). These games were played without three of their best players who were competing in the state cross country championships.

Why do you think the guy that wrote this post has never heard of them or seen them play? Just because some guy before him didn't?
