    CDA Charlotte Club is Growing!

We would like to recommend a new club with a great staff in Charlotte. The club is Charlotte Development Academy. You can find them at https://www.cdasoccernc.com/ They are not ECNL, but they play in the growing DPL . Great girls club!

Good to have some competition in the Charlotte market for sure. Will CDA be able to put their HS aged girls in front of college coaches at the level and quantity that ECNL does though?

CDA is a joke marketing gimmick and in typical Charlotte fashion playing the name game trying to attract the less serious players cast off by the larger Charlotte clubs….there are other options or just save your travel budgets and privately train and play futsal

I personally know several of their staff and wouldn't characterize their program as a marketing gimmick. The coaches are well respected and have a proven track record. Phillip Poole is the USWNT goalkeeper coach for one. They even have a balance of women coaching high level girls teams. Imagine if the big Charlotte club actually looked to hire some women coaches for a change instead of rehashing washed up boys coaches or giving second chances to guys who have screwed up time and again.
I know several parents of top team (ECNL) girls who have moved their kids there to get away from the giant club in Charlotte that has forgotten (or more likely never cared) that they are providing a service to customers who are paying for that service. My daughter does not play for CDA and my only hesitation would be that they don't appear to have a platform for showcasing their athletes in front of large numbers and varieties of college coaches. Secondly, playing in the DPL, those top level players will not play against, nor be seen playing against the most talented teams in the area.

The fact that people think the "ECNL" or any alphabet league means players with top talent, is laughable. Just like the DA, these leagues do not cover every market, and access into these pay leagues, all of them, is based on rules that some top tier training environments don't qualify to apply.
