Long and short, is your life better than it was prior to a trump presidency

    Retirement accounts up significantly?
    Better job opportunities?
    Home price appreciated?
    College savings up significantly?
    More money in pocket?
Purchasing more disposal items over last three years?

My retirement accounts have been partying for the past 15 years. There really hasn't been a significant increase under Trump despite the DJIA being where it is. By percentages, the market was up a lot more when Obama was president.

My life is just fine under Trump and it was fine under Obama and W before that. If you need to base you're life improvement on who the president is, you're doing something wrong.

Half the country doesn't own one share in anything, not even in an IRA or pension fund. The top 10% owns 80% of US stocks. So the market doing well benefits a small portion of the population. Nor is it a key indicator of economic strength. The economy and markets have largely been built up from the foundations laid in the Obama years. There is still enormous income disparity. Gains made in lower wage jobs barely keep up with inflation let alone make up for years of wage stagnation and rising costs. Many who got a modest income bump saw it wiped out by rising medical and housing costs.

However the economy is also on shaky ground. Things were already slowing down in the US and worldwide. The coronavirus may hit the world hard. Our debt is astronomical and when we have a weaker economy it's harder to borrow more or pay anything back.

Funny enough historically the Dems deliver in stronger economic growth almost 2:1 vs the GOP. Dems can create strong economies despite their reputation. Trump has jacked our debt to dangeroys levels never seen, and wants to prop up industries that won't take us into the future. Unfortunately many Trump supporters believe his claims even when they haven't really benefited themselves. For other voters there are other issues driving their choices - education, healthcare, the list goes on.

Healthcare anyone? Where is Trump's "great" healthcare he was going to bring us? Not a freaking thing except to continue to dismantle ACA (granted a flawed system but it offers many protections people want and has helped provide insurance to millions). A new study from the American Journal of Medicine tracking 9 million cancer patients

"The study found that 42.4 percent of the 9,527,522 new diagnoses of cancer between 2000 and 2012 had lost their entire life’s assets by year two. Thirty-eight percent had depleted their life assets by year four. The average net worth by year two was $92,098, depleted from the average initial net worth of $644,031".

My dad is on a cancer medication that costs $130,000 a year. No alternative, no generics. Even with Medicare and gap insurance he's out of pocket $18K a year. Poor man worked hard all his life, planned carefully for retirement but may die broke. Trump and the GOP want to slash Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security

Or my son and DIL who had our first grandchild but daycare costs practically out her social worker salary. Ivanka was going to fix it 😆

These are the types of issues that matter to voters. The GOP does nothing to help the average American but has 40% of them tricked into thinking they are.

^ that sucks about your dad and it sucks that the medicine that he needs costs as much as it does. Best of luck to him and I hope things change for the better for him.

The Dems can't even get their caucus right. What an absolute clown show. The DNC is in full panic mode. To think your best hope is a Communist that spent his honeymoon in Russia and thinks food lines are a good idea. The Democratic Party is imploding. This is what happens when radial ideologies become real world. The DNC is beginning to see the dangers of the far left and they don't like it. It's evident that they are scrambling to figure this out. It's hilarious to watch you guys bash Trump when you have these morons waiting in the wings. Seriously, you have a stammering hair sniffer that can't put together a coherent sentence who says he can fix everything now despite being in Congress for nearly 50 years and the single most untrustworthy, dishonest woman that would lie about anything to get ahead. No lie is off limits including heritage, her children, previous jobs, or the cost of her everything is free campaign. There is part of me however, that wishes any one of these idiots does become the next POTUS. You think Trump gives us good material, these clowns would be priceless. Speaking of clown shows, it seems Schitz has become so desperate that he is telling the Senate that Trump will sell Alaska to the Russians if he is acquitted. Libtards, the gift that keeps giving!.

I used to have a radial ideology but now I'm more of a reciprocating saw man.

Cut them some slack. When you lose as much as they do you’d be a little salty too. Pelosi definitely takes home the sore loser award.

Pretty much the same. Same economic trajectory. Moral sand principles are gone, but they chucked before. Now, the social right just got their b@lls cut off. We always knew they were p%ssies.
