Teams to watch from our side of mountains.
Issaquah is out. Shocking. Skyline has a fighting chance, but future looks dim.

Curious how it it determined how many each district can put into the state bracket. Looking at 3a, district 3/4 gets to put in 6 teams, however district 2 which carries a high percentage of top ranked teams with strong competition the entire season, only puts in 5.
Looking at Maxpreps, some of the district 3/4 teams that make it are ranked as low as #27 in state for 3a with a schedule strength of 1.2 (Stadium), or Bonney Lake which has a strength in the negative (-1.0).
Is the system failing to put the best teams in to battle it out, or are they shutting them out and putting in weaker teams that are diluting the competition?

I'm sure it is based on number of schools in the district. In 4A, eight teams make the state tournament from District 3/4.

Don't rely on MaxPreps for much of anything. Typically they have games missing and late this season had a winless team in the top 5 rankings.

If you cant get out of districts, you probably werent going to do anything in State. No one cares who places 14th or so.....all anyone will remember is who won the whole damn thing.
Good luck to those that made it and lets get back to Club Ball!!

A Metro Team will win the state championship. The most likely team is Lakeside. There is no more competitive league in the state.

Don't count out lake Washington. They have one of the best forwards in the country and have only given up 5 goals all year. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Lake Washington and Bellevue in the final.

Lake Washington blew out roosevelt tonight. The skill level from kingco to metro wasnt even close tonight.

Lake WA is the best 3A team in the state and they can thank Bernie James as the team got an infusion of something like 5 players that were DA last year and the players fill the field from defense to offense, so it's a great line up. They will beat Lakeside in the final is my prediction. LW doesn't have a great GK but have more talent across the field than LS by far. LS doesn't have much of an attack, but just don't give up many goals. They rely on having a great GK, play very direct and just look to draw fouls for free kicks which may be the only way to beat LW is to get a lucky free kick goal. LS and Bellevue had a very easy state draw. Roosevelt vs Gig Harbor and Roosevelt vs LW could have been semi-final games. How unlucky for Gig Harbor to draw Roosevelt in the first round when Bellevue got to play Southridge and Kamiakan to get to final 4... Roosevelt and GH were good enough to be in the final 4, but LW is a head above any team in the state IMHO. LS will hunker down and hope to win 1-0, and hope their GK has a double-digit save type game, as LW will come at them from all angles.
