"Academics" is a somewhat broad term. What's going to be the student's concentration? What is their future field? Some schools are better situated as business schools vs. liberal arts, etc. So, no single school will fit that bill.

Also, people will weight them differently.

The best college is the one that is a perfect academic fit for your student. The soccer is a distant second.

For D3 Williams is hard to beat for both soccer and academics. But like the posters have said, fit first.

Academics" is a BS term. Admissions Selectivity is what we really mean.
which schools are most selective for soccer and admissions?

                  For D1
Soccer Selectivity - 1. BC, 2. All Ivy, 3. BU
                  Admissions Selectivity - 1. Harvard 2. Yale 3. Dartmouth
                  Both - 1. Harvard, 2. BC-Dartnouth-Yale 3. Holy Cross

                  For D3
                  just kidding, D3 doesn't count

Holy Cross? You’re kidding right? Decent school but not close to the others listed.

MIT is a little behind Williams in Soccer, but is a little ahead in academics. A little while back someone did an analysis of MIT's all-conference players over a multiple year period and searched for what they are doing now. It was very impressive. If your kid is top of the heap academically and a very good soccer player MIT can be a very good fit.

Just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention. Got to be a joke. I guess Brown somehow doesn’t count in “all Ivy” to take HC’s place?

What about Princeton, Penn and Columbia? Aren’t they currently the top three?
