Bradley played one amazing 40-yard cross that somehow cleared 6 defenders and landed right on Baird's boot. It was actually a beautiful ball.

My take is that it's incredibly ironic that looks like exercising Free Speech, one of the moral pillars of the United States, has cost Geoff Cameron a spot on this very mediocre team. Exercising First Amendment rights cost jaelene Hinkle a spot with the women, and now this. Our national teams are anything but American. And not a single ball less player or commentator says anything about it.

A mess defensively...everyone still think it’s a good idea to play out of the back, especially when under pressure?
Let’s make sure we mandate it for the u10’s...😳😳😳

I had my differences with Jürgen over the years, but the one thing you cannot deny is that Jürgen and his staff brought a sense of true professional competitiveness and ambition to the national team. Under Jürgen, your spot was never guaranteed. Forget the nutrition programs, strict parameters on how the team engaged with media and social media and training sessions and all that stuff. He definitely cracked down and made progress in those areas, but the real difference was that Jürgen challenged guys to push themselves to the absolute limits. He encouraged them to go play abroad in the top leagues, even if they didn’t speak the language, or were going to have to scratch and claw to get minutes. That was the whole point, actually. He created a mindset of never letting yourself get too comfortable. He held us to a higher standard.

I was impressed with the way the US played. Great improvement. Now let’s see if they can maintain the consistency.

[QUOTE=Unregistered;2455544]I had to look up what Cameron said because your post made it sound like he was some kind of racist. Am I missing something? I found this article and some highlighted text below. I think he totally nailed it.

I was impressed with Chile, in particular their pressing and patience (although they missed some opportunities by not taking more shots). It was a good test for US and highlights the need for better ball control and 1v1 talent.
