CT board reporting that Scorpions ECNL went down to CT over the weekend to play their NPL teams. That seems surprising.

Scorpions went to CT and scrimmaged all of Oakwoods DA teams, not NPL.

Not a good showing by Oakwood. They got thrashed.

lol yes I read that too and OW is claiming it was NPL teams. But why would Scorps go down there to play/beat badly NPL teams? It had to be the DA teams. They could play local NPL teams if they just wanted to get some playing time in during the quiet period

I stand corrected... I guess they did field some NPL teams this year, just not at U15.

They did because not all their players wanted DA. Plus they need the $ to try and lower DA prices

Their prices have gone up substantially over the past 4 or 5 years and I dont think they will ever go back down. If anything, GDA put even more financial pressure onto a very small club.

Scorpions are a pathetic soccer club. The fact that they are even allowed to have the ECNL patch on their uniforms is a travesty.

They're not that gawd awful. There's certainly worse out there. If they beat OW GA good for them (not that OW is great but still a good matchup). If they beat up NPL teams, who cares.
