Each and every other MLS franchise commits more money and energy than the Krafts.
Sell the distraction to the Patriots while franchise fees are at record highs before everyone realizes there won't ever be a YUGE deal to broadcast the MLS games (see ESPN layoffs). He could get $100m for the Revs as is but it's all downhill from here as his fellow MLS owners spend like crazy (b/c they aren't in it for the profit, or at least seem willing to forego profits in the near term.)
Got to give him credit for making sure there won't ever be promotion/relegation! That was serious business foresight there, even if it's a socialist concept to protect those that can't compete successfully. Otherwise, he could lose money fast (oh wait, that's called...capitalism?).
Take the money and buy a lax team and replace some of the foot traffic for the sputtering retail concept of Patriots Place.
Latest factoid: "One of MLS's most raucous atmospheres is getting an upgrade. The Portland Timbers announced Wednesday that the club is adding 4,000 seats to Providence Park as part of a privately funded $50 million renovation." https://www.si.com/planet-futbol/201...ium-renovation
Has Kraft invested $50m net on the Revs since the start?
