If TS controlled incessant pollution of every thread, would readership increase?

I know it leaves me bored.

Never happen. The owners have spoken on this many times and even gave us an example (the registered version which no one uses) why.

Why can't a poster or two be blocked for the good of humanity and possibly TS's bottom line?

Are you kidding? Those posters drive the traffic.

75 posters online, mid-day, during the offseason, on a work day.

No way to actually block them. It would be a full time job just trying to keep up with all of the different ip addresses everyone could possibly access and even then a determined poster could still find a way through. Think this is precisely why people have started pushing back on some of the bullying behavior. They are tying to stop the trolling and cyber bullying in an effort to reclaim the site from them.

All but 2 are probably bored. Be curious if a bit of pruning allowed the garden to really flourish.

Just ignore it and carry on. It is tiresome.

Actually more than just two. Don't forget the south shore and valeo trolls. They are every bit as annoying.

Maybe that could one of the sports industry careers discussed elsewhere available to former college athletes. Could be financed with the increased ad revenue for increased traffic.

If you look you will find that almost every D1 college program has a "Director of Social Media". That is actually a much better job than sitting watching IP addresses.

Why isn't there at least an obvious 'ABUSE' button to quickly point moderators to a questionable post?

Get BTDT to post all of his posts in one thread and he can post unfettered to his heart's content. Prevent him from posting in any other threads or from creating other threads and engaging fiction characters. Problem solved.

Uh - Perspective needs the same thing. Isolate them both and move on. It would be
                              fantastic!
