    College Soccer

Interested in what folks have to say about last night's SNHU vs. St. Anselm game. Good chance to see two local college teams compete and my son is interested in both programs. We were hoping to get to the game last night but homework got in the way so we watched the game on the live feed. SNHU plays a very nice brand of soccer, lots of possession, playing easily out of traffic, patient and actually controlled the bulk of the game that we saw. St. Anselm was very direct and made tons of unforced mistakes, they just didn't seem to work together very well and frankly their defending was dreadful. It looks like St. Anselm has given up a lot of goals this year. Anyone else see the game and have constructive thoughts on either program.

Heard it had something to do with different thoughts on future. Same core group with the same result each game. Time to mix it up.

            Snhu

As a former player at a New England college that wasn't St. A's or SNHU, I will say I am most impressed with SNHU. Style of play, coaching staff and players love playing there. If you want to watch your son play an attractive style of play on a team with a bright future...SNHU.

Looks like things have not gotten better. Peaked at the stats page. Seems like a core group plays every game despite their lack of performance. Team stats are ugly. Always frustrating for players and managers when a team struggles mightily.

Certainly time to shake things up. Put the core group on the reserve team for a week. Why not? Sitting as reserve player has a magical way of clearing one's head. May find that some other players rise to the top and you may may light a fire under some of that core too. Not sure why any manager would let an under performing team continue to under perform without making major changes. Clearly things are not working. A manager's job is to make those tough choices and improve the team's performance. Life lesson is at hand. We will see how the manager tackles it.

                Good trainer fair game manager.

Talented players on the bench. Time to focus on future.

Very bad season for the talented returning starters.
